Face Painting at Swimming & Pool Parties
Swimming and pool parties are a brilliant idea — and adding face painting to the mix makes them even more magical! However, there are a few important things to be aware of before you book us for your event.
Key Things to Know
Face Painting Must Happen Before Swimming
All children and adults must be painted before entering the water. We will not paint anyone after they have been in the pool. This is for a very important reason — most pools contain chemicals such as chlorine, and applying face paints to skin that has been exposed to these chemicals may cause an adverse reaction.
Face Paints Will Wash Off in the Pool
Please be aware that face paints will wash off once the painted person enters the pool. We use professional water-based face paints, and while they are long-lasting in normal conditions, they are not designed to be waterproof.
We Do Not Use Waterproof Paints
We do not use waterproof face paints. This is in line with our health and safety policies and the professional products we use, which are water-based and compliant with UK/EU regulations.
Planning Your Pool Party
To get the most out of your face painting experience at a swimming party, we recommend:
- Scheduling face painting at the start of the event, before anyone gets in the water
- Letting guests know in advance that they should arrive ready to be painted before swimming
- Allowing enough time for everyone to be painted — speak to us about how long you'll need based on your guest numbers
With a little planning, face painting and pool parties are a fantastic combination! If you have any questions or would like to discuss your event, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
